A small houseboat navigating the waters of the St. Clair River onto Lake Huron has caught the fascination of witnesses and social media users alike as they capture the vessel's every move.
The U.S. Coast Guard sailed out to a houseboat on the St. Clair River on Sunday. Lt. j.g. Samuel Rodriguez said his agency was made aware of the homemade, recreational houseboat around 11 a.m. Sunday. He said one man and one dog were on the Canadian vessel.
But the boater wasn't in distress, the federal agency said, amid worries from those posting comments online.
"The people said that they were doing fine," Rodriguez said.
A video with around 315,000 views posted on the Aircraft and Marine Machines Facebook page shows the houseboat floating on the St. Clair River near the Blue Water Bridge. Rodrig
