TOLEDO, Ohio — HOPE Toledo, the nonprofit that works to provide education from birth to career, is no longer funding tuition for both college and pre-K students, according to leaders with the organization.
CEO and president of HOPE Toledo, Rev. John C. Jones, said tuition for current post-secondary students in the HOPE Toledo Promise program will be covered by the Greater Toledo Community Foundation and anonymous donors.
Jones said that although pre-K tuition credits have also ended as of the 2025-2026 school year, the primary focus of HOPE Toledo will be advocacy for their pre-K program.
"The work of Hope Toledo still remains the work of Hope Toledo," Jones said. "We are not in a position to do that [pay tuition] at this point, and we don't anticipate being able to do it going forward,
