TOLEDO, Ohio — Three organizations in northwest Ohio have been awarded $1.25 million each in federal grants to further their work supporting fathers in parenting and life.
Pathway, Inc. and the Zepf Center, both based in Toledo, and the The RIDGE Project, based in Defiance, received the funding for their own initiatives from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Responsible Fatherhood Program, according to a press release from U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur's office on Monday.
Pathway's program, Brothers United, empowers Toledo fathers through workforce development and parenting skills, and the Zepf Center's Northwest Ohio Father Connection helps 180 fathers per year learn about marriage, parenting and economic independence.
