A former Norwalk police officer has been arrested for illegally collecting workers compensation funds, according to the Division of Criminal Justice.
Steven Luciano, 44, of Norwalk, was arrested by inspectors from the Workers' Compensation Fraud Control Unit in the Office of the Chief State's Attorney on Monday.

Luciano is accused of illegally collecting workers compensation benefits totaling $19,581.63.
The former officer is facing charges including perjury, larceny and fraudulent claim or receipt of benefits.
