HOLT, Mich. (WILX) -Four Holt High School students will dance in the streets of New York City Thursday as part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Abbey, Maren, Lilly and Emma will join 400 other dancers from across the country as members of the Spirit of America Dance Group in one of America’s most iconic parades.

The students train at Karyn’s Dance Place in Holt under instructor Karyn Perry, who has been teaching dance for more than 40 years.

“I have danced since I was two and a half, and it has always been my passion, my love,” Perry said.

Perry’s students regularly perform at major venues including center court for Detroit Pistons basketball games and center field at Detroit Tigers baseball games. The dancers are also bowl game regulars, performing at events from the Sugar Bowl
