Dana-Farber Cancer Institute received its largest-ever non-federal grant for metastatic breast cancer research from the foundation run by Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin and his wife, Elaine.

The $20 million grant from the Elaine and Eduardo Saverin Foundation is intended to fuel innovation across metastatic breast cancer research at the hospital . Metastatic breast cancer is a late stage of the disease, when it has spread beyond the breast to other parts of the body.
