The wife of suspended Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez has pleaded guilty to a reduced money laundering charge in the state's case, according to court records.
Robin Severance-Lopez is the latest co-defendant in the case to reach a deal before trial as part of an investigation into allegations of illegal gambling and racketeering.
Severance-Lopez was released from the Lake County Jail just before 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
Severance-Lopez's bond was revoked after her second arrest in October, and she had been locked up in Lake County ever since.
Her trial was scheduled for Dec. 8, but now, she will not face any prison time because of the plea deal she took with statewide prosecutors.
Instead, she will have been sentenced to a minimum of 24 months of probation, court records show.
