A woman has been charged in the Sunday killing of a 64-year-old U.S. Army veteran found shot to death outside his car on a dead-end Birmingham street.
Bonita Brown, 64, is charged with murder in the slaying of Thomas Williams, police announced Monday.
The department Crime Reduction Team took Brown into custody in the 200 block of 73rd Street North within hours of the discovery of Thomas’s body.
She will be held without bond in the Jefferson County Jail pending an appearance before a judge.
Sgt. LaQuitta Wade said the deadly shooting was domestic related.
A passerby found Williams about 2 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Maple Avenue.
