GARDEN CITY, Idaho — A fire in Garden City early Monday morning left a local playground unusable, according to a spokesperson from Future Public School.

The Garden City Police Department said two "male juveniles" were arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 25 in relation to the investigation.

They were booked into the Ada County Juvenile Detention Facility on separate felony charges –– the first suspect for second degree arson and the second suspect for aiding in a felony. Additional charges for malicious injury to property are pending.

Firefighters were called to Pamela J. Beaumont Riverfront Park around 1 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24 and found the playground equipment "engulfed in flames," according to a police report. Firefighters extinguished the fire, but the playground was heavily damaged.
