A Far Cry television series is in the works!

According to a new report from Variety , the popular Ubisoft franchise is getting a TV adaptation from Noah Hawley and Rob Mac (formerly Rob McElhenney ). The pair will co-create the show and the Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor will also star.

Plot details are being kept quiet for now, but the TV show will be similar to the games in terms of the anthology format. All of the Far Cry games take place in different locations and with different characters, though there are also many references and easter eggs tying them together.

The last game, Far Cry 6 , released in 2021 and a seventh game has been confirmed, though it is unclear when it will debut.
