DODGE COUNTY, Minn. (KIMT) - A deadly crash shut down part of County Road 34 east of Dodge Center Monday afternoon. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says one person died and three others went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Sheriff Scott Rose says a 2006 Mustang and a 2019 Toyota Tundra collided head-on around 2:15 p.m. Monday. The adult female driver of the Mustang, from Rochester, died at the scene.

According to a witness, the Mustang was driving over the center line. The witness in their vehicle was able to avoid a collision, the Tundra was behind the witness and unable to avoid a crash according to the Sheriff's Office.

Paramedics took two adults and a child from the Tundra to St. Mary's Hospital. Names have not been released. The highway reopened at 4:20 p.m.
