COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A single mother of four won’t have to worry about buying presents this holiday season.
The nonprofit organization, The Palmetto Project, is partnering with WIS to bring back Families Helping Families. It’s an initiative to help those in the community who need it most during the holiday season.
Dianna Kirkland is thanking the giving hearts of strangers to help put gifts under the tree for her four kids. The Kirkland family was just recently relocated by the Columbia Housing Authority because their former housing community is undergoing renovations.
The thought of buying her children’s gifts this holiday season was stressful, given the added expenses.
