NORTH CHARLESTON — Three years to the day since a 20-year-old man was shot point blank in the chest in a suburban neighborhood, his killer was found guilty by a Charleston County jury.
Rigoberto Rojas-Santiago, 29, of Goose Creek, was sentenced on one count of murder and one count of weapons possession Nov. 20. He will spend life in prison on those charges, according to a sentencing order.
A jury convicted Rojas-Santiago of fatally shooting Brihan Zuriel Martinez Calderon on Nov. 20, 2022 . The gunshot was caught on home video surveillance, according to an arrest affidavit.
Police were dispatched to the 7800 block of Jean Rebault Drive around 5:45 p.m. in reference to a shooting.
