Police were hunting for a suspect who shot and wounded a teenager Sunday night during what authorities described as an incident between two parties at the Partridge Creek Mall, an outdoor shopping center, during a Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
The Clinton Township Police Department said in a press release that officers responded to gunfire at the mall around 7 p.m. and found the teen victim, who was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. WXYZ reports the victim was shot in the abdomen and listed in stable condition.
Police said they have identified a person of interest, described as a Black male wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and tennis shoes.
Police emphasized that the dispute was between two people and that the tree lighting ceremony was not
