( NewsNation ) — Details surrounding the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez have been ordered to be sealed.

The court order, initiated by the Los Angeles Police Department, requested a security hold be placed on the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Department’s findings.

Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Odey Ukpo said the department previously denied a LAPD request for a security hold Sept. 15 due to “insufficient justification.” He added they have “not been proven to improve outcomes in the legal system.”
