The Philadelphia Eagles ’ loss to the Dallas Cowboys was more than just embarrassing. It might have cost the Eagles a defensive starter for the rest of the season.
Eagles safety Andrew Mukuba will undergo surgery to repair a fractured ankle suffered in Sunday’s loss, according to a report from NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.
It will be determined during surgery whether or not there is potential for him to return this season. Either way, Mukuba is expected to land on injured reserve.
Mukuba was spotted on crutches and wearing a walking boot on his right foot on Sunday night inside the Eagles’ postgame locker room at AT&T Stadium.
