Tired of chasing its tail to wrench answers from senior levels of government on acute issues affecting city residents, Belleville council agreed unanimously Monday to convene in the new year a roundtable discussion with senior political leaders from the region.
Following dozens of unanswered letters and motions over this term asking senior levels of government for clarification on everything from health care, an ongoing state of emergency, an unhoused addictions and mental health crisis as well as housing and planning concerns, councillors liked the idea moved by Coun. Paul Carr.
