AROUND THE OZARKS (KY3) - Christmas trees are appearing in homes again as the holiday season approaches, with some families already decorating while others wait until after Thanksgiving.
People are visiting tree lots to select their perfect tree for a tradition that dates back to German Christians in the 16th Century.
Mandi Turner, retail manager for Carson’s Nurseries, has been fielding calls about Christmas trees for weeks. Her first inquiry came on Halloween.
“My first call was actually on Halloween for a Christmas tree. But they were looking for cut Christmas trees, which we don’t offer. We do offer live trees,” Turner said.
