CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Your favorite Thanksgiving food may be good for you, but not so much your pets.
"There's always the classics — chocolate, avocados, onions, things like that — which will be toxic to pets, but also when you're adding something foreign to an animal's diet, even if it is not toxic to them, it can be hard on their stomach and cause vomiting, diarrhea, especially higher-fat foods like anything with a lot of butter in it, turkey skin, things like that, that can put a lot of stress on an animal's Gi tract and can even cause issues like pancreatitis," said Lauren Krohn with the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA.
