CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- There’s an ongoing trend to get blackout drunk the night before Thanksgiving and experts say what’s seen as a fun tradition can turn deadly.

It’s called Blackout Wednesday and it's one of the biggest drinking nights of the year. A lot of people head back to their hometowns, reconnect with friends, and celebrate being together with family. With the holiday spirit flowing, so are the drinks and sometimes people don’t know their limits when having them.
