COLUMBIA, S.C. — Some big changes are ahead for the Midlands as a strong cold front will move through the area during the middle of the week. A few showers are possible by early Wednesday, but high impacts to Thanksgiving travel plans are not expected.
Monday night's low temperatures will stay on the warmer side in the low 50s. Clouds will continue to increase through the overnight hours, which will lead to a mostly cloudy start to Tuesday.
The mostly cloudy skies will last through the day on Tuesday. Winds from the south will bring warmer air into the region, allowing high temperatures to climb into the upper 70s. A few isolated showers are possible late Tuesday night ahead of an approaching cold front.
