BOSTON —

A wrongful conviction stole one man's life and shattered another family's faith in justice, and both sides carry wounds from a system that failed them.

5 Investigates was there for the reunion that both families say shouldn't have happened this way.

The reunion stemmed from the murder of cab driver Jeffrey Boyajian 46 years ago.

On November 16, 1979, Jeffrey picked up three men at a cab stand on Washington Street in Boston.

He drove them to what was the Archdale Housing Project in Roslindale at the time.

There, he was "dragged out of his cab, beaten, robbed and shot" six times in the head, according to court documents.
