Homeowners were left stunned that no one died after a "horrific" car crash destroyed part of a pedestrian crossing.
Landseer Road homeowners in Ipswich were left frightened by the "loud bang" that accompanied a two-vehicle car crash which took a pedestrian traffic light out of the ground on Sunday afternoon.
Three people were taken to hospital for further treatment after the crash at 4.45pm, but everyone involved were able to exit their vehicles unaided.
Resident Susan Anass, who lives opposite the crossing, said: "It was absolutely horrific, the bangs and the noise, it brought me to tears.
"I couldn't believe it could happen so close to my doorstep, it could have just as easily been my house that was hit.
"I'm just grateful that one of my carers was in to help me through it all."
