Backup offensive lineman Nyier Daniels was dismissed by the University of Georgia following his arrest for allegedly fleeing police at speeds exceeding 150 mph with his younger siblings in his BMW.
Daniels is facing two felony counts of second-degree cruelty to children and two felony counts of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, along with 10 moving violations, for the incident in Commerce, Ga., that resulted in his arrest and a bond set at $21,000, according to the Jackson County Jail in Jefferson, Ga.
A four-star offensive tackle from Newark, N.J., Daniels is listed at 6-8, 345. He appeared in three games as a backup this season.
A University of Georgia athletic department official transported Daniels back to Commerce after he fled from police personnel in pursuit.
