ABINGDON, VA – Evelyn Griffin is proving lightning can strike twice. Fourteen years after winning a $1 million prize, the Abingdon resident has won again—this time claiming the $100,000 top prize in the Virginia Lottery’s new scratch-off game Cashing Through the Snow.
Griffin purchased the winning ticket at Greenway Food Mart, located at 604 Cummings Street in Abingdon, and scratched it right there in the store. She said she plays new games regularly, which influenced her decision to try Cashing Through the Snow.
