A leading energy supplier is offering customers eight hours of free electricity to use on Christmas Day this year. With the cost-of-living crisis continuing to squeeze UK households, the initiative is expected to be warmly received by those keeping a close eye on their spending.

The offer forms part of EDF's Sunday Saver Challenge , which is now available for December 2025. As a festive bonus for December, all participants will automatically be given eight hours of free electricity on Christmas Day (December 25) between 8am and 4pm.
