Two men have been arrested following a confrontation understood to have been triggered by England flags being removed from lampposts in a Kent market town.
Police were called to Love Lane in Faversham at 9.35pm on Sunday night (November 23) following reports of a disturbance.
A 29-year-old man from Faversham was accused of assault and led away in handcuffs by officers. A 67-year-old man was also detained on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed object.
A police spokesperson said no serious injuries were reported.
It's understood the younger man is an anti-immigration campaigner, while the older man was with a group taking down England flags.
