BOONE COUNTY, Ky. —
A 51-year-old man has been charged after leading deputies on a high-speed chase in northern Kentucky, nearly hitting one of their cruisers head-on.
It all unfolded around 11 p.m. Monday night when deputies were conducting a patrol detail in Gallatin County in an effort to crack down on drug trafficking in the area. Advertisement
Deputies tried to pull a driver over and the driver failed to stop, making a U-turn on Millers Ridge near KY 16.
The sheriff's office said the driver nearly hit a deputy's patrol vehicle head on in "an attempt to strike him." The deputy was able to avoid a collision and the vehicle fled onto KY 16, leading deputies on a high speed chase.
