COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football coach Ryan Day provided a bit of an update Monday on receivers Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate as the Buckeyes prepare to face Michigan this weekend.
While appearing on 97.1 The Fan, Day was asked if the two receivers were trending in the right direction as they look to return from injury.
“They are,” Day said. “They’re going to continue to get some rest tonight. They had a good day of rehab, so we’ll wake up in the morning and see how they’re doing. Nobody wants to play more than those two guys.”
Day has been cautious in discussing their injuries, noting after Saturday’s win against Rutgers that the receivers are considered “day-to-day.”
