Hundreds of gallons of heating oil were mistakenly pumped onto the basement floor of a home in Medford, Massachusetts, on Tuesday after the oil company delivered to the wrong address, according to fire officials.
The home on Linwood Street had a fill pipe but no tank inside, according to firefighters on scene. The oil company hooked up to the old pipe and began dumping, explained Medford Fire Department Deputy Chief Nicholas Davis. Around 385 gallons of oil made it into the home.

Davis said the delivery was meant for the same street address, but in the city of Malden.
