A multi-agency search is underway for a woman and her three grandchildren missing at Caesar’s Head State Park.
According to Lt. Ryan Flood with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, emergency search crews are looking for Tonda Michelin, 53, her grandchildren, Melody Bangs, 14; Michael Lawton, 11; and Dale Moser, 9, near the Raven Falls trailhead. The area has been closed to allow crews full access.
Flood said Lawton called 911 around 6:50 p.m. on Nov. 24 to report that they had been lost for about three hours. A white Nissan found at the Raven Falls trailhead matched the description of their car.
During the call, Flood said Lawton told dispatchers that he only had "4% battery life" remaining.
More than 50 people from six agencies are on the trail searching for the family using helico
