Glynn County Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency on Tuesday notified residents of a cybersecurity incident that affected the CodeRED mass notification system, saying the company that owns and operates the system confirmed it was a system-wide breach.
Crisis24 said it migrated CodeRED to an updated Crisis24 CodeRED platform and restored data from the most recent pre-incident backup dated March 31, 2025. Accounts created after that date were not included in the restoration and cannot be recovered, the company said.
Glynn County EMA said the overall impact appears limited but that officials do not know how many registrations were added after March 31.
