The Pistons have won 13 straight games.
Shedeur Sanders will get his second start Sunday against the 49ers.

For once, the Cleveland Browns are making a decision at quarterback we can all agree on. Shedeur Sanders is getting the start Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, head coach Kevin Stefanski announced Monday. The move was really a no-brainer.

There were questions as to whether Stefanski would actually go back to Sanders this week after previously being non-committal on the decision after Sanders became the first Browns quarterback to win his first start since 1995. There was always a chance Cleveland would go back to third-rounder Dillon Gabriel, who went 1-5 in six starts before suffering a concussion in a loss to the Ravens.

In less than ideal circumstances, Sanders struggled in relief of Gabriel against the Ravens. Another similar outing would have guaranteed his return to the bench. However, with a week of preparation for his first start, Sanders was much better against the Raiders. Earning the win, he left Stefanski virtually no choice but to stick with him another week.

NFL POWER RANKINGS: Eagles slide in Week 13 ranks

Sanders' slow climb from QB4 to starter has added a new energy to a sleepy season for the Browns. Going away from him after a game in which he showcased an ability to occasionaly stretch the field would have been unpopular among the team's fanbase at the very least -- potentially also within the locker room. In a seat that's likely already hot, Stefanski wasn't in much of a position to go against the grain with Gabriel, who hasn't exactly thrived in his opportunities.

Now, the Sanders era is officially underway. It'll be up to him to keep it going. How he performs will decide whether we see Gabriel again this season.

The Pistons are streaking again

The Detroit Pistons beat the Indiana Pacers on Monday for their 13th straight win, tying a record for the longest winning streak in franchise history. With another win Wednesday against the Celtics, they'll stand alone for the longest streak, breaking a tie with the 2003-04 and 1989-90 Pistons teams that both won titles.

Can we take a second to appreciate how remarkable of a turnaround this has been for Detroit. Just two years ago, they set a different kind of streak record, losing 28 games in the row for the longest single-season skid in NBA history. One year later, they made the playoffs. Now, this year, they're the best team in the Eastern Conference through 17 games (15-2 record).

Big shoutout to J.B. Bickerstaff for the work he's done with the Pistons.

Quick hits: New (old) Raiders OC ... Under Armour fumble ... and more

  • The Raiders fired Chip Kelly as their offensive coordinator on Monday, only to somehow turn back to somebody who's already held the job two times before. The third time must be a charm, right?
  • Under Armour losing its deal with Stephen Curry was a massive fumble, and it seems their failed pursuit of Caitlin Clark might have played a role in his exit. Here's Bryan Kalbrosky with more.
  • Joe Burrow is making his return to the Bengals this week, and he reacted on social media with his hilarious LeBron James jersey photo.
  • Pittsburgh and Oregon are among Tyler Nettuno's biggest Week 12 winners and losers in college football.
