QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) - The First Alert Weather team has issued a FIRST ALERT DAY Wednesday from midnight to 4 p.m. for gusty winds.

A powerful cold front moves through this evening which could provide a few scattered showers, but behind it, strong northwest winds will move in, ushering much colder air.

In addition to sustained winds 20-30 mph and gusts 40-50 mph, temperatures will be much cooler in the 30s, with wind chills throughout the day in the teens and 20s.
