In just a few days, Renoites will be sitting down to the dinner table with family for the annual Thanksgiving feast.

Though it may be tempting to sneak bits of cooked turkey, gravy-soaked mashed potatoes or even bits of fruit or veggies to dogs lying under the table begging for Thanksgiving treats, experts at the Humane societies , ASPCA , Petco and more advise knowing which foods are toxic to pooches before sharing the holiday meal.

Some foods on the Thanksgiving table can cause anything from a mild upset stomach to a full-blown emergency trip to the vet. Even the "safe" snacks need to be served in moderation — because too much of a good thing can be downright dangerous.
