“Polar Express” and Santa trains throughout Upstate New York are once again delivering pajama-ready holiday fun on tracks that wind through wintery woods.
When Chris Van Allsburg published “The Polar Express” in 1985, he could never have imagined the worldwide phenomenon it would become. It has sold more than 30 million copies and inspiring a 2004 film now considered one of Hollywood’s top Christmas classics.
That storybook magic helped spark real-life “Polar Express” rides as well as a variety of Santa-themed train excursions, several of which now operate across New York state.
