At 12:54 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid from Wednesday 3 p.m. until Friday 1 a.m. for Monroe, Wayne and Cayuga counties.
The weather service states, "Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 45 to 50 mph expected late Wednesday through Wednesday night, becoming west to northwest later Thursday through Thursday night."
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few isolated power outages may result," adds the weather service. "Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects."
