Tourism is on the rise in Newmarket, according to a new economic impact report.

The 2024 Economic Impact of Tourism Report, commissioned by West Suffolk Council, reveals that the town’s visitor economy is now valued at £84 million, marking a nine per cent increase from the previous year.

Tracey Harding, CEO of Discover Newmarket, said: "We are thrilled with the findings of this Report, which shows positive growth across the board.

"This is good news in what has been a particularly challenging period of trading, and the uptick is a testament to the great businesses and fantastic tourism experiences we have here in the home of horseracing."
