PORTLAND, Maine — For people in Maine looking for somewhere to go for a good Thanksgiving meal or might not be able to afford to make one themselves, there are lots of free options around the state.

In Kennebunk, the nonprofit Community Harvest is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Feast at St. Martha’s Church on Route 1 at 12:30 p.m.

The Scarborough Community Thanksgiving Dinner is happening from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wentworth School.

In Bangor, there’s a free feast at the Hammond Street Congregational Church from 1 to 2 p.m.

Meals will be served in Rangeley at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 1 p.m.

In Dexter, the VFW is hosting its ninth annual thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
