Olympic swimmer Penny Oleksiak has been banned from competition until 2027 after she violated the International Testing Agency’s (ITA) anti-doping rules, the agency announced Tuesday.
Canada’s most decorated Olympian accepted her punishment for committing three whereabouts failures between October 2024 and June 2025, according to the ITA’s press release.
The punishment runs until July 14, 2027 and is retroactive to this past July 15, though the Toronto native will have the option to appeal the verdict.
