CONYERS, Ga. — A lieutenant for the Conyers Police Department (CPD) turned himself in to authorities after he was accused of misappropriation of donated property from a local business.
According to the police department, they requested the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) after concerns were raised regarding the acquisition and disposition of the property in October 2025.
During the investigation, GBI officials determined that Lieutenant Jesus Cadena used his position to obtain a charitable donation of property from The Home Depot in Conyers under the pretense that it was for the police department.
GBI obtained a search warrant for Lt. Cadena's Gwinnett County home and located the property obtained from The Home Depot, which had been converted to personal use.
