It's rivalry week in South Carolina.
The Clemson Tigers (6-5, 4-4 ACC) head to Columbia on Saturday, eager to build off their late-season surge and reclaim the state championship against the South Carolina Gamecocks (4-7, 1-7 SEC).
"It's a blessing to be a part of a historic game," Dabo Swinney said on Tuesday.
The programs have split their four meetings since Shane Beamer was hired, with each team having won their respective road trips over the past four seasons. South Carolina beat Clemson last year in Memorial Stadium, 17-14.
Swinney spoke Tuesday about his desire for his team to respect the rivalry and, if they beat South Carolina, to win with class.
