WASHINGTON — James Van Der Beek's wife says her husband is "bouncing back" amid his battle with colorectal cancer.

The "Dawson's Creek" actor posted a video of himself tossing a football while wearing his "Varsity Blues" jersey featuring his character's name from the 1999 movie. The 48-year-old actor shared a sale featuring autographed and unsigned jerseys, a follow-up to a similar sale last year, according to People.

Van Der Beek thanked fans for their support and for helping raise money for his cancer treatment and other families going through similar experiences.
