The football ad hoc committee of the Oregon School Activities Association began its series of meetings for the 2025-26 school year and released the list of teams that are eligible to play down a classification next fall.
The committee met on Nov. 9, revealing that 28 teams meet the OSAA’s criteria for playing down. This includes a winning percentage of under 22% over a two-year period.
In Class 6A, the schools that are eligible to play down next year are Cleveland (0-9), McDaniel (2-7), McMinnville (1-8), South Salem (0-9), Southridge (1-8) and Tigard (1-8).
In Class 5A, the teams eligible to play down include Corvallis (3-6), Eagle Point (1-8), Putnam (0-9) and Redmond (2-7).
The Class 4A teams are Gladstone (0-7), Ontario (1-8), St. Helens (2-7) and The Dalles (3-6).
