Southbound Interstate 25 is closed after a multi-vehicle crash near 84th Avenue, Thornton police said Tuesday morning.

The Thornton Police Department reported the crash on social media just before 12 p.m. The highway is closed at Thornton Parkway, and drivers can rejoin southbound I-25 at 84th Avenue.

Drivers should seek alternate routes and expect “significant delays,” officials said.

Navigation apps are estimating a 20-minute delay because of the crash, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
