A coroner was called to a deadly domestic violence stabbing that left a woman dead inside a Harrisburg home on Tuesday afternoon, authorities announced.
Officers were dispatched just after noon to the 300 block of South 17th Street on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, after reports of an assault, according to Dauphin County dispatch logs.
Police found an adult female dead inside a house at the intersection of South 17th and Vernon streets, Harrisburg police Lt. Kyle Gautsch said.
Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo told Daily Voice that the incident involved a domestic violence stabbing and confirmed the perpetrator is not at large, noting that the Harrisburg Bureau of Police is conducting a diligent investigation, according to a statement.
Gautsch previously said investigators believe all of the people involved have been identified. No suspects or charges have been announced as of this publication.
The intersection, surrounded by homes and apartments, was blocked off with police cruisers and tape Tuesday afternoon.
