Swimmer Penny Oleksiak was banned from competitive swimming for two years after repeatedly failing to let authorities know her availability for anti-doping spot-checks outside of competition periods.
The International Testing Agency announced Tuesday that Oleksiak had accepted the two-year suspension for an anti-doping rule violation known as a whereabouts failure.
Athletes in a Registered Testing Pool are obligated to provide to the ITA their whereabouts on a daily basis, as well as a specific daily one-hour time slot when they would be available to be tested.
