U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is backing new bipartisan legislation designed to reduce the nation’s reliance on China for key agricultural inputs.
Ossoff has signed on to the Securing American Agriculture Act , a bill that seeks to counter potential Chinese manipulation of global markets for essential farm products. According to the American Feed Industry Association, China holds a near-monopoly on critical inputs such as vitamins, veterinary drugs, and crop protection tools, raising concerns about vulnerabilities in the U.S. livestock sector.
