For more than 30 years, the Tennessee Aquarium has been more than just a tourist attraction. It is widely used as an educational resource for schools throughout the region.
Still, the Aquarium's learning programs have been as vast and widespread as the ocean itself, until now.
Just outside the Aquarium's River Journey and Ocean Journey buildings, a former food court has been transformed into the STREAM learning center. The program is supported by UNUM, which has long advocated for the Aquarium's educational mission.
Rachel Hargis, the company's Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility, said, "This is going to be an incredible tool for our educators, because they're they'll have access to it for professional development."
