COLUMBIA, S.C. - The South Carolina Supreme Court has confirmed when it will hear arguments in Alex Murdaugh’s bid for a new trial.
The state’s highest court has set a Feb. 11, 2026, date regarding Murdaugh’s appeal, according to its online roster of cases.
Local agencies arrest 2 in disappearance of North Carolina man
Two people have been arrested in a North Carolina murder investigation that began with the disappearance of a 33-year-old man.
Murdaugh was found guilty in 2023 of killing his wife, Maggie and son, Paul, after a four-week trial in Colleton County. He was sentenced to life in prison.
